This winter resort in nestled in the heart of British Columbia’s majestic Selkirk Mountains. The average snowfall here is about 13 meters (45 ft). Whitewater is known for its stunning steeps, deeps, bowls glades, chutes and cruisers. Getting here is as simple as driving from Spokane International Airport or Kelowna International Airport.
Ski Canada has rated Whitewater Ski Resort for its Best Deeps while Powder magazine declared that Whitewater is one of the best powder mountains on the continent.
The operating season starts in early December and ends in early April. The resort is open from 9:00AM to 3:30 PM daily. The vertical drop is 396 meters (1300 ft) from a top elevation of 2040 meters (6700 ft). Alpine skiing can be enjoyed over the 1180 acres of invigorating wilderness of British Columbia.
The terrain has 11 Nordic trails with 46 runs shared between Beginner – 20%, Intermediate – 40% and Advanced – 40%. Two double chair lifts and one handle tow allows skiers to reach the top of the hill.
Other amenities here include the Lodge, Mountain Learning Center, Whitewater store, Rentals and Repairs, Day care, Coal Oil Johnny’s pub and Fresh Tracks Café.
