A small and quiet destination for skiers who want to avoid the business of other ski resorts, Vemdalen is a hidden gem amongst Swedish ski resorts. Located a mere 500km from the capital of Stockholm in the central part of Sweden, Vemdalen covers 128 acres of land with excellent skiing facilities.
There are thirteen trails at Vemdalen ski resort, which are considered as being suitable for all levels of ability. It is assumed that 50% of these runs are suitable for beginners, whereas 25% respectively are allocated as blue and red runs for more experienced skiers. With a summit of 930m, the slopes of Vemdalen enjoy a vertical drop of 340m and there are eight lifts to access these slopes, comprising of one chair lift and seven surface lifts.
The ski season lasts between December till early May and generally snow is reliable during this window, however almost half of the slopes are covered by snowmaking possibilities.
