Station De Plein-air Val Mauricie is a cross-country ski resort in Quebec, Canada. It is located in Shawinigan-Sud, the largely French speaking settlement of Mauricie area in Quebec, on the banks of the Saint Maurice River.
There are six alpine skiing trails, 5 tubing lanes and four lifts in the facility, some of them are in disrepair. There is also a snowboard park, a snow canon. The vertical here is 70 meters with an unobstructed view of the St Maurice River.
Ski Val Mauricie is mainly for cross-country skiing enthusiasts. There are 15 km of well groomed trails here. The park is owned by the City council and is in the process of renovation.
The snow tubing lanes are open and working. The City council is working with the citizens of Shawinigan-Sud to get the park working again in full swing. The city council has agreed to complete all renovations by the 2010-2011 seasons.
