Val Gardena provides skiers with the perfect Italian ski vacation, providing unbelievable slopes, pampering accommodations and amenities, and plenty of local culture. This family-friendly resort features plenty of indoor and outdoor activities throughout the year, as well as a range of guest services to complete your experience in the Alps.

Accommodations
Whether you are taking a personal ski retreat, a romantic Alpine holiday, or a fun family vacation, there are accommodations in Val Gardena to suit your needs. Choose from lavish or budget hotels close to the action in the city, nestled in the slopes, or in a quieter and more remote area. You can treat yourself to a personalized experience with a family-owned bed and breakfast. Or enjoy a more rugged experience at a refuge or alpine hut.

The accommodations are spread across the three local villages, all within six miles of Val Gardena. The villages of Selva Gardena, St Christina, and Ortisei each offer a unique personality with a full range of accommodations and services.

Tracks/Slopes
Val Gardena is a preferred ski area for top ski enthusiasts due to its link to the 500 kilometers of interconnected slopes on the Dolomiti Superski. This gives you access to easy and challenging slopes, with low as well as steep pistes. In Val Gardena, you will find 175 total kilometers of slopes, and 111 kilometers of cross country runs. Snowboarding facilities are available at Val Gardena, giving you an adventurous and scenic snowboarding experience.

There are 83 ski lifts, giving you a fast and easy ride to the top of the slopes. Val Gardena has a full range of lifts, including gondolas, chairlifts, ski lifts, underground ropeways, and more.

Val Gardena has a full service ski school, offering lessons on downhill, carving, snowboarding, cross country, and more. Classes are designed for kids as well as adults, and suited for beginner, intermediate, and advanced.

Other Activities
When you aren't on the slopes at Val Gardena, there are plenty of other activities to keep you busy. In winter, take a winter walk and enjoy the scenery, enjoy the magic of the winter wonderland with a horse-drawn sleigh ride, or try out the toboggan runs. Indoor and outdoor mountain climbing, ice hockey, disco skating, ice skating, snowshoeing, and para-sailing are all available in the area. There is also several children's playground areas located in the three villages where the kids can burn off some extra energy.
