Val d’Allos ski resort, Haute Provence Alps, France

ski hotels

Located in the Haute Provence Alps, the Alps of the South in France, this resort has 250 km of ski runs. It’s also a good site for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Linked to Pra-Loup by a long valley, it’s the biggest combined ski area in the Southern Alps. It has 51 lifts made up of 32 ski tows, 14 chair lifts, 3 cable-cars, and 2 others.

The ski runs are composed of 16 green, 25 blue, 34 red, and 5 black. At an altitude of 1,800m, this resort is typical of the high mountain resorts in the southern Alps. Older than some, it was founded in 1907 and is entirely built of timbers, creating a special ambience. Val d’Allos is between the forest and snow fields and is perfect for just about whatever is the most fun for you. It’s ideal for all types of skiing and snowboarding.

The setting is awe-inspiring and will create memories for a lifetime. Accommodations are abundant; there are even campsites in a variety of settings. You can rent cottages in the country, but there are also full-service hotels.
