Thredbo is located in Konsciuszko National Park and is an independent resort at the foot of the country's highest mountain. The ski resort is a truly unique and varied alpine village at the base of a monster mountain with 480 hectares of wicked snow. With the largest snow-making facilities in the southern hemisphere and lately extended terrain park, Thredbo is believed to have the country's longest, highest, and most exigent terrain. The Australian ski resort of Thredbo has direct approach to a sum of 12 ski lifts. Thredbo is able to enhance natural snow through the use of 400 Snow Cannons. The 12 Ski Lifts of Thredbo are able to uplift 18,000 skiers / snowboarders per hour. The Resort pass comprises of $68 for an adult (2days) and for child $38 (2 days) and for a family it is $152 (2 days).

Thredbo's exciting outdoor activities include a wild mountain bike blast, exploring the magic alpine environment or trying luck at fly fishing. There are endless outdoor opportunities from first time slides down Friday Flat to launching air off The Bluff, or discovering the magical backcountry. Thredbo resort encompasses the longest runs in Australia with the most vertical landscape to tone with the quick and efficient lifting system. Thredbo's snowmaking facilities are also incomparable and drive out plenty of snow when conditions allow, while ensuring the best possible surface for all snow riding adventures.

Getting to Thredbo is very easy as one can opt to drive, fly, or arrive by coach.   The nearest airport is Canberra . Even, coach transfers from Canberra are available. Thredbo is a 5 - 6 hour drive from Sydney and 7 hours from Melbourne through the scenic Kosciuszko Alpine Way.
