The ski resort of Tarnaby can be found in the Storuman Municipality in Vasterbotten County, Sweden. Famous as the destination where ski legends Ingemar Stenmark and Anja Paerson learned and perfected their sport, Tarnaby is the place to be for the ski season. Located just moments from the Hemavan airport, Tarnaby is easily accessible and also offers comfortable and reasonably priced slope-side accommodation.

Due to the high altitude and summit of 1312m, Tarnaby enjoys a heavy snowfall annually and a long ski season from October to May. Tarnaby has some of the best cross-country skiing opportunities in Europe, with many different trails through the mountains and woodland.

The resort has 45 pistes in total shared with the nearby Hemavan resort, with 40% of these considered beginner slopes and 30% allocated to intermediate and advanced slopes respectively. There is a vertical drop of 665m, as well as twelve lifts that allow easy access to the runs. Tarnaby also has relaxation in mind, with two restaurants on site where you can enjoy the cultural delicacies of Sweden.
