The ski resort of Storlien in Sweden’s Are municipality in Jamtland lies a mere kilometre from the Swedish border with Norway. The ski resort has twenty-three pistes in total with the majority of these being green and blue runs, making Storlien the perfect location for intermediate skiers, however the eight red runs and six black runs will prove challenging for the more experienced skiers.

The pistes are accessed by eight surface ski lifts that provide 191m of vertical descent. Storlien also caters for those cross-country skiing opportunities with 17km of cross-country ski trails through the forests and mountainsides.

The area enjoys a regular snowfall each year, however some of the more popular slopes are covered by snow making machines. Storlien also offers the visitor slope side accommodation, of varying degrees of comfort and suiting each individual budget. The resort also features two restaurants and three bars, where you can relax and enjoy some downtime before you next session on the slopes.
