Stana de Vale ski resort, Romania

Amidst the western Bihor county of Romania is the Stana de Vale ski resort, which features a long ski season and excellent mineral water resources. The area features a subalpine climate, with low temperatures, an average snowfall at 90cm deep and a ski season that ranges between December-March.

The resort is suitable for skiers of varying abilities and is accommodating to both individuals and groups. The slopes include 0.6km of blue runs and 3.9km of red, which are easily accessed by a series of lifts, making Stana de Vale a popular destination amongst ski advocates.

Surrounding attractions include a number of caves to explore and a number of glorious waterfalls. Stana de Vale features a number of accommodation choices, which include self-catering chalets, hotels, guesthouses and B&B options, each catering to individual tastes and budgets. The area is can be easily accessed by road and sits relatively nearby the Oradea airport.
