Situated in the pristine valleys and mountains of Nova Scotia, almost along the coast of the Atlantic Ocean, Ski Wentworth was developed more than 80 years ago. Visitors may arrive through Halifax Robert l. Stanfield International Airport or via road transportation from USA or other parts of Canada.
The pristine and challenging terrain has a vertical of 815 ft with 20 alpine trails. Also included are a half pipe and a terrain park that will challenge skiers of all levels of expertise. Night skiing may be enjoyed in three of the trails, Sissy, Rosebowl and Beaver.
The snow covers almost 2/3rds of the total terrain and can challenge all levels of skiers beginning with the Chickadee South Side trail to the Explosion and gladed steeps which go around the mountain and can challenge even the advanced skier.
Six lifts including the Quad chair, T-bar and 2 rope tows efficiently lift the skiers to their uphill destinations. Helmets are mandatory on the freestyle terrain park. With a 150 acres of skiable terrain, this park is family friendly with many of the 9 trails devoted to Beginners and Intermediate skiers in the ratio of 20% - Beginner, 50% Intermediate and 20% Expert.
The annual snowfall here is 8 ft. The park is open Monday and Tuesday from 9AM – 4:30PM and from Wednesday to Sunday from 9:00AM to 9:00PM.
