Mountain Trails and Features
Silver Mountain resort has anenormous variety of snow activities. Alpine and Nordic skiing, snowboarding, tubing, snowshoeing, riding the rails at the terrain park...you will find fun for all ages and activity levels. The terrain is diverse, serving beginners to experts with many glades and hidden areas that keep the powder fresh. The trails are spread across two mountains which mean less time in lines and more time enjoying the snow. The longest trail is four kilometres long and there are numerous lifts: one 4-person chair, two triple-person chairs, two double chairs, the one single-stage gondola, and a 213 meter moving carpet lift that serves the beginner section and snow tube park. There is an almost five-meter trail for snowshoeing at the top of the gondola as well, with snowshoe rentals available.
Ski/snowboard lift tickets with gondola ride can be purchased for a full day, half day, or for holiday rates, with children six and under being free. Silver Mountain also offers discounted tickets for college students, military, EMT and fire personnel, and seniors (62+). Two-hour tubing sessions are available over weekends and holidays. Night skiing is only available on New Year's Eve on certain areas of the mountain.
Silver Mountain Resort's Morning Star Lodge is a top-of-the-line vacation rental and resort condominium development with studio, deluxe studio, one- and two-bedroom suites, and corner suites available. Designed with rustic and modern décor that warms and comforts, many of the rooms have their own fireplaces, kitchen areas, and walk-out balconies. There is also a loft for rent for larger families or groups. The public areas of the resort are great for socializing, with cosy fireplaces, computers with high-speed internet access, rooftop and terrace level hot tubs, a fitness centre, and recreation equipment storage area. When staying at the Morning Star Lodge, you also receive entry into the Silver Rapids Indoor Waterpark.
From shopping and dining to spa services and water fun, Silver Mountain Resort does not disappoint. With its own village at the base of the mountain, visitors will find great food and plenty to do.
Shopping: Located in the Gondola Village, Silver Mountain Sports Shop has an excellent selection of top-brand winter clothing and accessories plus a wide variety of resort and Idaho souvenirs to remember your vacation. The Morning Star Lodge Gift Shop, which sells gifts, books, snack foods, and more, can also be found in the Village. The Sports Shop and Demo Centre, which is located half the way up the mountain, is the one-stop shop for your equipment and accessory needs, either for purchase or rental.
Dining: There are three eateries within the Gondola Village. Wildcat Pizza serves freshly made gourmet pizza and calzones, salads, beverages, and tasty side dishes such as buffalo wings and bread sticks. Noah's Canteen is open daily for both lunch and dinner serving standard restaurant fare and includes a full-service bar with microbrews on tap. Mountain Cafe & Catering specializes in fresh, homemade food with a breakfast option.
For the perfect Après ski experience, visit Mogul's Lounge which is located on the mountain. It's a great place to stop for lunch or relax after a full day on the trails with the full-service, smoke-free bar. Next door, enjoy the awesome views and warm up next to the fireplace at Alpenrose. At the Mountain House, also on the mountain, you'll find cafeteria-style meals including hot soup, chili, pizza, burgers, hot dogs, and salads.
Over at Silver Rapids Waterpark is The Lunch Bucket where you can enjoy all the standard waterpark fare such as burgers, nachos, pizza, snow cones, and more. You will also find Trestles, which is a full bar that services all types of drinks, finger foods, and even overlooks the waterpark.
Off the Slope Fun: Silver Mountain's Silver Rapids is Idaho's largest indoor waterpark located at the Gondola Village. Designed specifically for guests staying at the Morning Star Lodge, there are ten attractions to enjoy after your day on the slopes, includingtwo 137 centimetre diameter tube slides, the 96-metre North Fork Lazy River, Cub Cove interactive spray deck with fountains, Hoop Lagoon activity pool, the Warm Spring hot tub area, Moose Sluice family raft ride, Pollywog Pond wade pool, and the FlowRider® wave for body boarding or surfing. There is also a surfside grill and hot tub area on the mezzanine overlooking the waterpark and semi-private cabanas can be rented to be enjoyed with family or friends.

Silver Mountain Resort is one of the most safely accessed ski resorts as it is located less than half a kilometre off of Interstate 90 in North Idaho, half way between the Washington and Montana borders. It is just a short 56-kilometre drive from Coeur d'Alene, Idaho or 120 kilometres east of Spokane, Washington and 209kilometres west of Missoula, Montana.Simply take exit 49 (Bunker Avenue) off the interstate and head south.
If you are flying in from other destinations across the U.S., Spokane International Airport is the best choice as it serves most of the major airlines.
