Located in the northern part of Kosciuszko National Park and 7 kms from Kiandra, Selwyn Snowfields ski resort is a totally family oriented resort. It is a holiday resort providing everything from downhill, snowboarding, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, tobogganing, and good old fashioned snow play.

Selwyn Snowfields is a small ski resort in the northern part of the Snowy Mountains of New South Wales , Australia , in the Snowy River Shire and Kosciuszko National Park . It is located near the town of Adaminaby and is close to Cabramurra, which is the highest town in Australia . While not attributing the longer runs and steeper slopes of Thredbo and Perisher, Selwyn Snowfields offers amiable personalised service and is a great place for family's first ski holiday. The adjoining area also features some great cross-country skiing.

The undulating hills of the Selwyn Snowfields are served by 11 lifts giving access to gentle slopes that are matched more for beginners and intermediates, rather than experts. There are 17 trails at Selwyn Snowfields, again suitable for mainly beginners and intermediates.

There are innumerable activities like s kiing, snowboarding, tobogganing/snow tubing, cross country skiing, and snow play area. Twelve lifts provide access to more than 45 hectares. The lift capacity is 9,500 skiers per hour servicing 40% "easiest", 48% "more difficult" & 12% "most difficult" terrain. More than 80% of the resort is covered by snowmaking.

One can enjoy various activities during spring, summer and autumn. Take pleasure in horse riding, mountain biking, bushwalking and touring by car or four wheels drive. Discover the adjoining attractions and towns, for instance Yarrangobilly Caves , the Snowy Hydro power stations, Tumut, Tumbarumba, Adelong, Cabramurra, Jindabyne, historic Kiandra, Mt Kosciuszko, Thredbo and many more.

There are many accommodations ranging from bed & breakfast or farm stays to three to four star resorts. Accommodation options also include motel or lodge style, self contained or fully catered, holiday houses, cottages and cabins. Generally people also prefer to stay in the nearby townships of Talbingo which is a short drive (30 to 40 minutes) from the slopes.

Selwyn Snowfields is a daytrip resort and extremely family orientated. Located towards the northern end of the dazzling Kosciusko National Park , Selwyn Snowfields can be reached by car. It is a beautiful two-hour drive from Canberra which is the nation's capital, going through the pleasant towns of Cooma and Adaminaby. From Adaminaby, it's a lovely half-hour drive along the Mountains highway to Selwyn. Even, r egular flights run between Sydney and Melbourne and the Snowy Mountains Airport at Cooma and Canberra Airport .
