It is also easily reached via Spokane, Washington US Airport or Kelowna International Airport on the Canadian side. The Red Mountain’s trees, slopes and snow are believed to be among the best in North America.
Red, as it is often called, has 87 runs that extend across two fun filled mountains. With a vertical of 880 meters (2,919 ft) and 1,685 acres of powder filled glades, this Ski resort offers plenty of fun and sun filled days for beginners, intermediate and expert skiers.
The area has 6 lifts. They include the Silverlode Chair(Quad), Motherlode Chair (Triple), Paradise triple chair, Red double chair, a T-bar and a red carpet which carry visitors to the Red’s Silverlode and Paradise areas as well as to other popular destinations of this much sought after, prize winning Mountain Resort. The lifts are open by 9AM and work through the day until 3PM.
The average snowfall in the 2008-2009 seasons was 619 cm (241.4 inches). In addition to skiing and snowboarding, activities here include Backcountry touring, Cat and Heli skiing, Cross Country skiing and snowmobiling.
