In ancient Greek mythology Mount Pilio was the mountain of Centaurs, and today visitors can enjoy skiing with magnificent views of the sea. The ski resort has been in existence since 1966 and has four principal runs as well as a beginners run and a downhill racing slope. Four lifts service the resort. Pilio has facilities for cross country skiing and for snowboarding. The tracks take in the enchanting scenery amongst the 24 small villages on the slopes of Mount Pilio in this area of Greece. A ski school can be found in Agriolefkes, one of the more prominent villages on Mount Pilio.
