Phoenix Mountain ski area, Southwestern Canada

Tucked into the beautiful landscape of Southwestern Canada, just northwest of Grand Forks, Phoenix Mountain is a family ski resort which offers a weekend in “best little mountain in British Columbia”. Visitors can reach here via Grand Forks or Greenwood, BC or via the Vancouver International Airport.

The season here is from December to late March. Annual snowfall is estimated to be 9 meters (29 ft). Night skiing is allowed on Thursday nights.

This site has a Rope tow and a T-bar lift. There are 18 runs in this ski area for skiers of all ages and aptitudes. The terrain is in the ratio of 20% - Beginner, 50% Intermediate and 30% Advanced.

The vertical is 245 meters (804 ft) and the total ski area is 150 acres with an annual snowfall of 890 cm (351 inches). Visitors can also enjoy the large cross country trail network of 10 km which is situated above the downhill ski area.

Events in this family ski hill include the Nancy Greene Ski League Zone Race, Saturday Night Ski, Phoenix Open Ski and Snowboard Races, Park Jam, Madness 2010 and Downhill Dummy Race.
