Panorama Resort is located on the Kootenay Rockies Powder Highway. It is close to Banff and may be reached from Calgary International Airport in less than three hours. This is one of the largest terrain parks located in the Rockies in which you can end the day soaking in one of the largest slope side hot pools! This ski resort is about 18 km west of the town or Invermere, a community in British Columbia close to the border of Alberta.
With an impressive vertical of 1220 meters (4000 ft), Panorama Mountain Village provides back country style skiing, Heli Skiing and snowboarding. The top elevation is 2,375 meters (7,800 ft) and base elevation is 1,155 meters (3,800 ft).
This ski area encompasses a picturesque terrain of over 2,847 patrolled acres of lush, untouched wilderness and breathtaking slopes. The terrain park is allotted in the ratio of 20% Beginner, 55% Intermediate or Advanced and 25% Expert.
The average snowfall is about 480 cm (188 inches) over 120 trails and two terrain parks. The operating hours are from 9AM to 4PM daily.
There are nine lifts including 1 village Gondola, 2 Express Quad Chairs, 1 Quad Chair, 1 Triple Chair, 1 Double Chair, 1 Platter and 2 carpet lifts to take almost 8,500 skiers uphill per hour.
The longest run in Panorama Mountain Village is 5.5 km in Taynton Bowl. This site also has a Greywolf Golf Course, an 18 hole, 7, 140 yard par 72 course which was planned and designed by Doug Carrick. On mountain accommodation for up to 3000 people is offered at this resort.
