The peak of Tirol, the Oetztal valley in Austria is the ideal place to enjoy a winter skiing break. Oetztal has around 6 different ski areas, all of which enjoy reliable snowfall. The majority of the ski areas feature more than 100km of space, with runs ranging from short to long to suit all ability levels.
A large number of three and four star hotels are located in and around the resort and offer comfortable and affordable rooms for the entire family. Some of the more upscale hotels, like the Hotel Habicher Hof, offers and indoor swimming pool, solarium, massage treatments and sauna. All inclusive meal services are optional. For the more budget conscious traveler, the resort offers a wide range of self-catered apartments, huts, cabins, guest rooms and holiday home rentals.
Ranging from easy to difficult, the resort has a slope for every level of ability. There are 13 km of easy slope access, 17 km of medium difficulty runs and 4 km of difficult for the more advanced skier. Drag and chair lifts provide easy access to the slopes and two cable cars make travel easy and convenient.
Looking to get out of the crowds and explore nature? There are 20 km of winter hiking trails at your disposal. Paragliding, ice skating and curling are also popular activities at the resort.
