The most popular accommodations in Nesselwang are those closest to the ski areas. You will find spacious and family friendly hotels located at both the top of the slopes and at the base of the mountain.

Trails/Slopes

Nesselwang ski resort is popular with skiers still learning the ropes, with a majority of the runs easier and less challenging than what you would find at many other ski resorts. The ease of the runs also makes this an ideal ski destination for families with children.

The resort sits at an altitude of 850 meters above sea level, and the highest point of the runs is 1,500 meters above sea level. There area total of five runs covering a total of 8 kilometers, as well as five ski lifts. Nesselwang is also a perfect destination for cross country skiers, with a total of 40 kilometers of cross country trails. The slopes are lit each evening allowing you to extend your ski experience into the nighttime hours.

If you need a break from skiing, several alpine snack huts service the area, providing skiers with snacks and drinks. On the slopes, you will also find a ski school, where you can improve you technique with a lesson or two, or drop the kids off for a lesson while you head back to the slopes.



Other Activities

Snowboarding is permitted on the slopes as well as at the snow park. The snow park has a number of exciting features, including boardercross, kickers, rails, and nightly floodlights. Nesselwang is also popular for sledding and tobogganing on the 4 kilometer groomed toboggan run.

In summer months, tube sledding on a 1,000 meter tube with tunnels and 13 curves is a blast for all ages. Experience the natural wonderland of the area with a nature hike through lush vegetation that is inhabited by a wide variety of wildlife. Families will want to visit the natural playground area, with a petting zoo, a giant trampoline, mini excavators, a sand box, and other exciting activities for the little ones to enjoy.
