This beautiful ski resort is located in the heart of the Monteregian Hills of southern Quebec. Mont Shefford is sometimes referred to as the “Pearl of the Eastern Townships”. This resort is about 10 minutes away from Granby and 50 minutes away from Montreal.
The base elevation of Mont Shefford is 590 ft (180 meters). The summit elevation is 1,657 ft (505 meters) and the vertical drop is 1,067 ft (325 meters.
Skiers can enjoy their sport over 75 breathtaking acres of land where the average annual snowfall is about 175 inches (445 cm). Because of the availability of fresh powder, snowmaking is about 30%.
There are 39 trails in this Ski are rated Beginner – 22%, Intermediate – 25%, Advanced – 15% and Expert – 38%. The longest run is 5,600 ft (1,707 meters).
There are three lifts in this ski park (all 3 T-bars) which have an uphill capacity of 1,800 persons per hour.
Activities here include Alpine skiing, Night skiing, and snowboarding. There is a Terrain park and a Half pipe here.
The park is open from November through April. From Sunday to Tuesday, the operating hours are from 8 AM to 4 PM. On Wednesday and Thursday, the hours are from 8 AM to 8 PM and on Friday and Saturday, the hours are from 8 AM – 10 PM.
