Mont Garceau ski resort, Canada

Mont Garceau is located on the peak of Lanaudière which is the second highest peak in the Laurentians. This ski resort is located close to the quaint village of Saint-Donat and two beautiful lakes about 90 minutes from Montreal International Airport.

The base elevation of this ski resort is 1,350 ft (411 meters) and the summit elevation is 2,350 ft (716 meters).  The vertical drop is 1,000 ft (305 meters).

In a vast area of land, about 103 acres in all, Mont Garceau is covered with an annual snowfall of 120 inches (305 cm). Snowmaking is about 95% in this mountain.

There are 25 trails rated Beginner – 33%, Intermediate – 34%, Advanced – 29% and Expert – 4%. There are five lifts including 2 Quad chairs and a magic carpet which deliver a total uphill capacity of 5,100 persons per hour. The longest run in Mont Garceau is a whopping 6,000 ft (1,829 meters).

Activities here include Alpine Skiing, Cross-Country Skiing and Snowboarding. There is a Terrain Park and Half Pipe for other activities.
