Val-David is a charming village tucked in between Saint-Sauveur and Mont-Tremblant in the Laurentians area of Quebec, Canada. It is also one of the oldest and most famous rock climbing places in Canada. When coming from the South (Montreal), take Highway 15 North and then route 117 North to get to Val-David and Mont Alta.

The vertical drop here is 178 meters (58 ft) over an invigorating and enchanting view of breathtaking steeps and valleys in an area as large as 60 acres.

There is 1 Double chair lift which has an uphill capacity of 1200 skiers per hour. The number of trails and glades are 27 which are rated as Beginners – 20%, Intermediate – 20%, Advanced – 40% and Expert – 20%.

Mont Alta has a strong mogul team with an ex-Olympics athlete as a coach. Freestyle skiing and Alpine skiing along with snowboarding are offered here.
