It is a small town located on the eastern shore of Lake Garda, somewhere in northern Italy. Malcesine is a beautiful ski resort, where tourists can see cobbled lanes, and even a castle. Behind the town there is a high mountain ridge, Monte Baldo, which makes possible climbing, from about 100 to about 1760 meters.
Malcesine is not as high located as other similar Italian ski resorts are. It is mostly know for its buildings, rather than for skiing or snowboarding. There is a restaurant here. Most of the tourist activities are somehow liked to Lake Garda, due to its spectacular beauty. It is also a good place for cyclists. The local municipality organizes lots of contests all the year round, most of them for the incoming tourists.
