In conclusion, La Plagna is one of the most respected tourist resorts in the French Alps, together with other “sister” ski resorts. France is simply beautiful, not only for Saint Tropez and its golden-sandy beaches at the Mediterranean Sea, but also for the mountain “pearls”. One of these pearls is, was and will remain in the recent future, La Plagla, not just an ordinary “pearl”, but as one of France’s mountain “pearls”.

La Plagne has 10 separate villages in its region, some are modern purpose built ski villages and others are small quaint traditional French townships.

La Plagne offer high slopes with good, secure snow falls. An ideal haven for intermediate skier’s as 85% of the slopes are classified blue and red. This huge area covers 225km of runs that are divided into 7 sectors, which are all linked. Experts will be happy with the black runs and there is plenty of off piste skiing to be done. The variety of the intermediate runs is exceptional, this level of skiing is ideal in La Plagne. Beginners will be very happy here as well as there is plenty of beginners area with easy slopes; La Plagne is great for children.

With over 80km of cross country trails the cross county skier is well catered for also. Another fun thing to do is try out the original Olympic bobsled run from the 1992 winter Olympics. The mountain restaurants are many and varied and cater to most people’s tastes and pockets. Accommodation is mainly Chalets but there is also some good hotels and self catering apartments.
