Keystone ski resort

Keystone’s A51 Terrain Park was ranked one of the best in the United States. There is a dedicated chairlift to take skiers and riders to the park. There are rails, jibs, jumps and more. It is open at night for the avid sportsman.

Heated, snow cat tours are available for those opting for a less adventurous view of the mountains. Lodging, dining and après ski activities are available within a short driving distance.

By being one of the closest ski resorts to Denver, only an hour and half drive from the city, Keystone offers a lot to the local residents and visitors alike: skiing, snowboarding; hiking and golf in the summer. The resort spreads across 3 mountain peaks. It's easy to get around on ski, or walking. Occasionally, when there is lack of snow, even though they keep the trails in good shape, it can be rocky. And that's not fun. But I've seen up to 8 inches of powder there, so super awesome to ski then. The fluffy white slopes - love them! I prefer the North ones. Occasionally there are too many beginners, so this gets a bit annoying. But all in all, I had a really good time there! Silvia Cassidy

Keystone is a lovely little ski area which most people pass right by on the way to Vail. I know because we almost did the same thing. The trails are very nice but mostly for beginner and intermediate skiers. The trails were very icy when we were there but that made for better fun for us. This is a wonderful place for night skiing. The view from Outback is breathtaking and you can see all the way across to Breckenridge. The skiing was great but the beauty of this little gem is priceless. Roseann Lahey

Keystone is a ski resort but don't be expecting a resort style village here. It's more a series of Condos spread out over seven neighbourhoods, with restaurants and hotels scattered throughout. However, free buses do service all the neighbourhoods and transport to the lifts quite efficiently. A lift pass here will covers many resorts; Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge and Arapahoe Basin, with Copper Mountain nearby as well. Like a lot of the Colorado resorts the black runs out number the others; however intermediates are well catered for. Beginner's slopes are good and snowboarders will find a huge Terrain Park called A-51. There are hotels here but they are high priced, it's mainly a condo resort and there are plenty to choose from. Dining is available on the mountain, but there are few mid priced restaurants.
