Nestled in the Great White North on the Mattagami River, Timmins is a small city in northeastern Ontario. Kamiskotia Snow Resort is located outside of the city of Timmins. The average snowfall here is about 340 cm (134 inches) and snowmaking on the 48 acres is about 75%. There are four lifts – 2 quads, 1 T-bar and 1 rope tow for a lift capacity of 5300 per hour.
There are 12 trails for skiing or snowboarding with ratings of Beginner- 20%, Intermediate – 45% and Advanced – 35%.
The top elevation here is 1,302 ft (397 meters). The vertical is 400 ft (120 meters). Kamiskotia offers skiers an amazing 68 acres of rough country for skiing, snowmobiling, tubing and snowboarding. The park offers a wave wall, table tops, spines, ¼ pipe, etc.
Events here include Rail Jam, Men’s Day Fun Race, Valentine’s Party, Alzheimer’s 2 day challenge, Guided Mileage Skier improvement sessions, Snowboarding program, etc.
