The ski resort of Hovfjallet is located in the western part of Sweden close to the Norwegian border. The mountain range features similar conditions to the north of Sweden.
The resort itself is low key, and avoid the typical crowds ski season brings. With fifteen ski trails and six lifts there are a lot of things to try, suitable for a range of levels of ability. There are around six green runs, four red runs and three black runs, with a vertical drop of 146m.
Hovfjallet also features around 60kms of cross-country skiing terrain, as well as a terrain park. With a summit of 592m, the ski season in this area of Sweden lasts between December till April, with a reliable snowfall each year, however 100% of the tracks are covered with back-up snowmaking. Hovfjallet caters for downtime as well, with thirteen restaurants on site catering to a range of tastes and budgets.
