Located far down in the Laholm district in the county of Skane in the south of Sweden is the ski resort of Hallandsas, a highland area. Relatively unknown amongst skiers, Hallandsas is an up and coming resort steadily increasing in popularity.

The resort is friendly to most snow sports, offering pistes for skiing, snowboarding and cross-country skiing trails. The small resort of Kungsbygget in Hallandsas is considered to be one of the favourites amongst the Danes, frequently referred to as “The Danish Ski Paradise”.

There are a total of six slopes catering to a range of ability levels. Two slopes are green runs suitable for beginners, two are blue runs for intermediate levels, there is one red run for advanced skiers and one black run for skiers at an expert level. These slopes are accessed by four surface lifts with an adequate vertical descent.

The ski season at Hallandsas lasts between December till April and within that time the area is granted with a fair amount of snow, however snowmaking equipment is in place should the snowfall not be sufficient.
