Gala is a great family ski area. There are tons of fun activities available for the resort to enjoy with your family or to revisit the child in you. From playing in the terrain park to tobogganing down the slopes you'll find all kinds of things to keep you entertained here.
The resort features 15 alpine runs, six green, five blue, three red and one black run making it a great hill for beginners and intermediates. Gala has 630 kilometres of cross country trails, so you can explore all kinds of different terrain on Nordic skis. Telemarking is also popular at Gala, with rentals and telemarking ski lessons available right at the resort. Night skiing is also available at the resort on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm. The cross country tracks are lit until 9:30 every night in the winter. The ski slopes at Gala are also used for tobogganing during the winter evenings. Let the child inside you come out and have some fun sliding down the slopes!
There is a special children's ski area at Gala, where they have their separate lifts, ski school
and easy ski runs.
Snowboarders will love Gala. It's a great place to learn snowboarding
on gentle slopes, while those who've been into the sport for a while will find fun spots all over the place. The Blueberry Mountain is where the terrain park is located. There are three boxes, eight rails, and three jumps among other obstacles to play on, and if it's halfpipe you're after head to Galagynten. Blueberry Mountain also hosts the Danish Championship in Telemark competition in the winter.
There are some great ski in-out accommodations at Gala, ranging from cabins to apartments and hotels. The Peer Gynt Café is also a great place, at the resort, to stop for a warm beverage or light meal during or after your day of skiing. Enjoy the beautiful skies from the outdoor patio with a freshly baked waffle from the café and fuel up for, yes-some more skiing!
