Fairview Ski Hill, Alberta, Canada

ski hotels

Located to the north of Grande Prairie, Alberta, is the town of Fairview, which was founded around the year 1928. The Fairview Ski Hill is about 13km south of the city. This location has 22 different runs with four ski lifts and a rope tow which pulls people up the hill while standing on their skis. It also has one T-bar which increases the uphill capacity of the facility.

One of the advantages of this ski area is that they offer 100% natural snow on 20,000 feet of groomed runs. This location is open on Wednesday nights from 6:00PM to 9:00PM and on weekends from 11AM – 7PM.

Fairview Ski Hill also offers skiing lessons to adults and children alike. This site has been managed by the local community for over thirty five years. It opens for the season in late December. Skiing classes and other fun events are planned for holidays and school breaks so that families with children can enjoy skiing.

The annual events in and around Fairview include the Pro Rodeo and Parade, Mardi Gras, Regimental Ball, Corn huskers Jamboree, the Peace Classic wheels car show and the Malanka Ukrainian New Year’s Eve.
