Edelweiss Valley ski resort, Canada

The ski industry in Quebec was born in a small Laurentian village called Saint-Sauveur-des-Monts. It was an American who installed the first ski lift here in 1934. The first T-bar lift in North America was also was installed here later. This ski hill is reachable from Ottawa in less than 30 minutes.

There are 18 trails here, Beginner – 45%, Intermediate – 33%, Advanced –17% and Expert – 5%. The longest trail is 1.5 km (4,921 ft).
Edelweiss Valley is set over an invigorating 1,300 acres (525 sq km) of abundant wilderness and has a skiable terrain of 160 acres (61 sq km).
The vertical drop here is 200 meters (656 ft) and the Elevation is 350 meters (1,148 ft).

There are four lifts including a high speed quad chair, 1 quad chair, 1 double chair and 1 magic carpet with a total uphill capacity of 7,000 persons per hour.

About 130 acres of land are covered with snow and snowmaking is 90%. Night skiing is offered in 13 of the 18 trails. There are 8 trails devoted to tube slides and these runs are lit at night. 1 lift is dedicated to this sport.
