Copper Mountain is a purpose built resort, only small in size but the slopes are considered to be some of Colorado’s best. Copper Mountain has three bases; all are small but have their own facilities, such as eateries and accommodation. A free shuttle bus links the three which makes it convenient for skiers.
Eating on the slopes is not good, but the villages have plenty of choices. Accommodation is limited as well, not a lot in the hotel line, but the Condos seem to be the way to go.
Copper Mountain is spectacular! It is one of the largest ski and snowboarding areas in all of Colorado. The views are incredible and the trails are thrilling.
We don't use beginner or intermediate trails. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed the advanced ones. The expert trails were invigorating. I had to nearly pry my husband and sons away from them just to eat. I would highly recommend Copper Mountain to all avid skiers.
