The ski resort of Cerkno is located in the town of the same name in the Littoral region of Slovenia. On the slopes of the Mount Srni Vrh, at an altitude of 1291m, Cerkno offers a ski season between December and March with reliable snowfall throughout the winter period. Cerkno features 15km of ski runs and a total of 9 pistes, including a 1300m summit.
The slopes vary between difficulty levels, with 40% being green runs suitable for beginners, 55% of intermediate blue runs and around 5% of advanced red runs. The Cerkno resort is becoming a popular destination for ski enthusiasts and the stunning scenery contributes towards an exhilarating experience.
There are five chair lifts and two surface lifts to reach the slopes and Cerkno ski area boasts of the only covered chairlifts in the country, with the Lom 6-chair lift and the Brdo 4-chair. Cerkno welcomes families and groups as well as smaller parties for skiing opportunities.
