Australia skiing

Australia ski hotels

The New South Wales resorts are predominately based at Perisher and Thredbo about a six hour drive from Sydney. If you are in Victoria, Mount Buffalo is only a two hour drive from Melbourne. Many travelers chose Melbourne holidays for their next vacation.

The Australian ski season usually runs from early June to mid October, however, the season can be very erratic and it would be much safer to go later rather than earlier, to get good snow, but it will still be hit and miss. The resorts are always upgrading their snow, making, so it does improve each season.

Skiing in Australia is mostly catered to the beginner or intermediate, families and group based tourists. The runs are shorter and the fields not as vast, but as with everything Australian, there are always a fun, friendly, party atmosphere through all ski areas.

Most resorts in Australia based their resorts on the French or Australian style of villages; however over frequent times money has been spent to give them an Australian favour. Now you can find trendy hotels and accommodations the have upmarket restaurants, day spas and shopping.
