Assessippi ski area, Manitoba, Canada

Assessippi Provincial Park is located in Manitoba, Canada and is well known for its Lake of The Prairies, a manmade Reservoir which was created to reduce flooding on the Assiniboine River. This literally out-of-this-world Ski Park may be reached via the Brandon International Airport or Winnipeg International Airport. Accommodations may be made in the town of Russell which is about 15 minutes away. Assessippi Ski Area is believed to be the largest in Manitoba.

The park is open usually from 9:00AM – 4:30 PM depending on the weather conditions and lift availability. The expanded terrain now has 25 runs over a total of 49 acres of exhilarating landscape. There is one quad chair, three triple chairs, one carpet tow and three surface tows lifts which enable skiers to enjoy the park’s invigorating mountain air and unspoiled wilderness.

The top elevation here is 552 meters and the vertical rise is 152 meters. The trail is divided Beginner – 34%, Intermediate – 33% and Expert – 33%. The averages annual snowfall here is 254 cm.
