Treat yourself to the excitement of a ski holiday coupled with plenty of rest and relaxation when you visit the ski resort of Achensee. This beautiful ski resort is surrounded by some of Austria's most beautiful scenery, with snow capped mountains and scenic mountain lakes underneath a picture-perfect blue sky. The area offers you a true getaway from the hustle and bustle of your daily life, with a soul-renewing spa as well as the healing power of the great outdoors.

Accommodations

Achensee sits on the largest lake in the Tirol region. This lake connects the five villages that support Achensee. These villages, Achenkirch am Achensee, Maurach am Achensee, Pertisau am Achensee, Steinberg am Rofan, and Wiesing, are all small and charming villages. The populations of these villages range from approximately 300 to 2100 residents each.

Despite the small size of these villages, they offer a full range of accommodation options. There are a total of 44 hotels in the area, including one five star hotel. You can also stay at charming holiday homes, inns, farms, private rooms, huts, hostels, and guest houses. With such a wide variety of lodging options, you are sure to find your perfect spot in the Achensee.

Tracks/Slopes

Achensee has six separate ski areas, each suited to various skill levels. All of the ski areas have their own lifts to ensure a convenient commute to the top of the slopes. Some of the ski areas in Achensee also have snow guns to provide you with a perfect ski experience despite the snow that nature has provided. Ski rental shops and snack huts can also be found on some of the slopes. You can also enjoy over a hundred kilometers of cross country tracks in the region, with beautifully scenic views.
