Snow World

ski hotels

Snow World is a Dutch company that has two enormous indoor skiing facilities called Landgraaft and Zoetermeer. Forget your pre-conceived idea of a simple slope with one button lift, both these arenas are spectacular. Who would have thought that you could have a skiing holiday in Holland?

Just outside Amsterdam you will find Landgraaft, the world's largest indoor ski resort, with five slopes and eight lifts (including a six-seater chairlift!). It is the only indoor ski area with an official FIS-rating, which means that SnowWorld can organize official FIS World Cup competitions. Of the five slopes, The Matterhorn slope is the longest with 520 metres of slope and is ideal for advanced skiers and snow boarders. There is also the world’s largest indoor snow fun park, with several kickers, rails and grinds and two beginner’s slopes. Landgraaft even has a four-star, 100 room hotel with spa facilities.

Situated roughly equidistant from Cologne and Brussels you will find the Zoetermeer facility, another truly amazing indoor ski arena. It has three slopes with five long drag lifts, a rope lift and two children lifts. The longest of there slopes here is “only” 210 meters but it is steep, with a gradient percentage of 20%! There is also a permanent fun park for snowboarders and freestyle skiers, a separate children's slope with two secure band lifts.
