Skeikampen ski resort, Norway

ski hotels

Skeikampen is part of the Lillehammer Ski Resorts pass which also accesses Kvitfjell, Hafjell and Peer Gynt ski areas. The resort has a good selection for all levels of skiers and snowboarders as well as snow parks and a great network of cross country ski trails. This is an excellent family destination and you’ll find something fun for everyone.

The Skeikampen Alpine Centre features 11 lifts, which includes two wonder carpets, and 17 slopes covering 21 kilometres of ski runs. There is also a children’s area for the little ones to practice in. The resort features a specially snowboard-dedicated alpine school and two terrain parks, the Black Line and the Blue Line. Ski school and ski rentals are available right at the resort. Night skiing is available Tuesday, Thursday and some Fridays until 10 pm.

For the Nordic skiers there are 200 kilometres of cross country trails that go through mountains and forests and offer great wildlife viewing opportunities. If you count Peer Gynt and Kvitfjell there are nearly 600 kilometres of cross country ski trails-enough to keep you busy for quite some time!

Skeikampen ski resort

The village is home to cabins, apartments and hotels. The Thon Hotel Gausdal, located in Skeikampen, was the first mountain hotel established in Norway, dating back to 1876.

The resort offers a number of great eateries ranging from simple cafeterias to fine dining restaurants. Enjoy a beverage at the piano bar, meet new friends at one of the pubs and be sure to catch some après ski entertainment. There is also a grocery store should you want to make your own meals.

Besides skiing, visitors can also go dog sledding, enjoy a treatment at the Skeikampen Spa or take a dip in the swimming pool.

This great family resort has all you need and with the great Norwegian snow conditions, fun après entertainment and added activities you’ll never want to leave!
