Bania and Kotelnica skiing, Poland

ski hotels

The twin connected resorts of Bania and Kotelnica in Poland are situated close to the Slovakian border in spectacular alpine scenery. They offer a realistic alternative to families and beginners on a budget. Both resorts have snowmaking facilities and floodlight night skiing.

Bania has ten lifts, including a newly installed four-seater chairlift. Of the dozen runs all are blue except just one red run; however there is also a terrain park. There are great facilities for children with a special kindergarten area and snow tubing and the resort has a homely and safe feel, making possible a great family holiday.

Kotelnica has the coolest homepage of any ski resort and the world’s worst spelling! It is a relatively new resort, having only been in operation since 2001 and there are five lifts in total, including a new six-man chairlift.

There are basic accommodation choices in both ski areas. Getting to the resort can be achieved by road, the nearest railway station is Zakopane 21 km away and the closest airport is Balice - Krakow 100 km away.
